I can't say that I'm really surprised at how much my manga style has changed over the years since I used to do Redemption [an old online manga of mine].
But I kinda didn't expect it to become this much of a hybrid between my semi-realism style and my old Redemption style.
And I always used to work in black and white so doing colours for panels is something quite new and interesting.
This particular image is kinda old since I did it a couple of months ago as part of a series of style tests but I am definitely on the right tracks with this particular look.
I can totally imagine myself doing my manga pages more like this from now on... I'm actually a pro at digital screentoning [there goes modesty out of the window <__<;;;] but I think it's finally time to put them aside and go for something more comfortably fitted into how I work these days.
Don't get me wrong, I love tones but I dislike doing neat lineart >__<
This rough sketchy way of painting has always been something I enjoy doing and I'm loving colours a bit too much recently so yes, this is a good start *u*
I have a manga story I'm working on now so it excites me to finally find a style I'm comfortable using and that it still looks like something I would draw

And WOOT for Ha'ero and his dark hair, such a refreshing change from Mikalo
